VALLISAARI PRIVATE SAUNA RESERVATIONS FOR THE 2025 SEASON
Reservation period: May 1 – September 30, 2025
A self-service sauna located on the southeastern shore of Vallisaari. Sauna slots are available for booking every day between May 1, 2025, and September 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. From 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the sauna is reserved for boaters.
You can choose the duration of your sauna session (minimum of 2 hours).
• Base price: €198 / 2 hours
• Additional hours: €99 / hour
For evening sauna sessions, limited tickets can be purchased separately. You can find the purchase links below. Keys and instructions can be collected from The Pier Harbor Café in Torpedolahti. Spend a whole day on Vallisaari and enjoy the warmth of the sauna.
Sauna Facilities
The sauna has a terrace and a private dock for swimming. The swimming area is marked with buoys—please do not swim beyond them, as the harbor has busy boat traffic.

• Heating: The sauna is preheated and ready for use
• Towel rental: Available separately (not included in the price)

Sauna equipment:
• Separate steam and washing area
• Small dressing room
• Terrace with a table and benches for relaxation
• Electric sauna stove
• Electricity and warm water (power outlets and lighting available)
• No grilling facilities, but bringing your own drinks is allowed
• A water toilet is available about 150 meters from the sauna
• No wheelchair accessibility to the sauna or toilet facilities
Additional Services
You can reach Vallisaari’s guest marina either by private boat or waterbus. FRS Finland Oy operates transportation to the island, and private transport can also be arranged through us. More details on transportation:

Please note that the last return trip to the mainland varies in timing. During summer, visitors can also enjoy Vallisaari’s wide range of restaurant services.
Sauna Usage Rules
1. Sauna Booking and Use
• The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old.
• The sauna may only be used for the intended purpose as described.
• The customer must provide the required details in the booking system before making the payment.
• The sauna session begins and ends according to the time stated in the reservation confirmation.
• The customer is responsible for arranging transportation to and from the sauna.
• After the session, the sauna must be cleaned and cleared of personal belongings.
• Payment and cancellation terms apply separately.
2. Sauna Maintenance and Customer Responsibility
• The reservation includes full use of the sauna during the booked period.
• The customer is responsible for the condition and security of the sauna until the session ends.
• When leaving the sauna, the customer must ensure that all doors and windows are closed and that the sauna stove does not pose a fire hazard.
• Food waste, empty bottles, and cans must be taken away or recycled at the waste station.
• If the customer loses the sauna key, they will be charged for the costs of rekeying the locks.
3. Damages, Deficiencies, and Complaints
• Any damage to the sauna’s furniture or structure must be reported immediately.
• Complaints regarding the sauna’s condition or equipment must be addressed promptly to the service provider.
• The service provider is not liable for complaints made retrospectively.
• Customers are responsible for any damage caused intentionally or due to negligence, and repair/cleaning costs will be charged accordingly.
4. Smoking and Pets
• Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors.
• Pets are not allowed in the sauna.
5. Lost & Found
• The service provider is not responsible for items left in the sauna or common areas.
• Lost items will be handled according to the Lost Property Act and stored until the end of the season.
• The customer must cover any costs associated with returning lost items.
6. Liability Limitations & Dispute Resolution
• The service provider is not liable for indirect damages resulting from cancellations or interruptions of the sauna session.
• The service provider is not responsible for errors or delays caused by force majeure.
• Disputes regarding this agreement shall primarily be resolved through negotiation.
• If an agreement cannot be reached, disputes will be settled at Helsinki District Court.
• Consumers may also bring the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board for review.
• The agreement is governed by Finnish law.
7. Cancellation Policy
• The reservation must be fully paid in advance at the time of booking.
• Prices include VAT but do not cover additional services.
• Cancellations made at least 21 days (3 weeks) before the session will receive a full refund.
• Later cancellations will be charged in full.
8. Sauna Use Guidelines
• The sauna stove is only for heating the sauna—not for cooking.
• Only water may be thrown on the sauna stones.
• Whisking (vihtominen) and sauna fragrances are NOT allowed.
9. Misuse Policy
• The sauna will be inspected after each session.
• A €150 cleaning fee will be charged for misuse of the sauna or if it is left uncleaned.
